2023 Spring Release
We’re excited to share our new wines for spring! Read on for more information about each wine, and join us at the winery on Saturday, April 15th from 12-4pm for our Spring Release party. Members will have the opportunity to pick up their spring wines, and all new wines will be available to purchase by the glass and bottle.
2022 ‘Buckaroos’ Rosé of Zinfandel
Stampede Vineyard, Clements Hills
This wine embodies springtime. On August 13th, we picked our second vintage of rosé from the ancient vines at the Stampede Vineyard in Clements Hills at 22 brix. Pressed whole-cluster & fermented in stainless steel, the wine is everything you'd want California rosé to be. At only 12.7% alcohol, the wine has loads of acidity, but with the charm & vivacity you'd expect from old vine Zinfandel. Drink now & drink often.
v.19 Sparkling Solera
Michael Mara Vineyard, Sonoma Coast
Our second bottling of our Sparkling Solera. This blend is primarily from the 2019 vintage, while about 40% is our perpetual reserve from vintages dating back to 2012 — hence why we refer to this wine as a sparkling Solera. Notoriously rocky soil is what characterizes this vineyard from others in the area. When Steve & Jill Matthiasson planted this vineyard in 2006, they encountered what they called to this day, the rockiest soil they have ever worked with. The 2019 vintage was a beautiful & bountiful vintage.
2022 Red Table Wine
Abba Vineyard, Lodi
Your new favorite summer red, intended for casual consumption at home with your favorite meal. A juicy, vibrant light red wine made of primarily Grenache from the Abba Vineyard, just east of the town of Lodi, with a very small amount of Cabernet Sauvignon & Zinfandel. The cool nights & breezes of the Sacramento River Delta provide the perfect growing conditions for the Mediterranean grape variety, and help to preserve its vibrant acidity. Fermented in an open top wooden tank and aged in that same 1,000 gallon wooden tank to preserve the vibrancy & verve of this beautiful, light bodied red wine.
